Medvedev: Gazprom to estimate volume of gas stolen by Ukraine

Russian energy company Gazprom has employed foreign company SGS to estimate volume of natural gas tapped by Ukraine from Russian deliveries to Europe, the company's deputy head said Monday.

"We have employed an international company that has a clear reputation in qualitative evaluations of foreign trade in order to have independent estimations besides our own documentary proof," Alexander Medvedev said, RIA Novosty reported.

He said that the company starts its work today and added that Gazprom sends gas to Ukrainian pipeline system only for export deliveries to Europe.
