Yekhanurov asks to solve the issue with “acting” prefix

Ukraine’s PM (according to VR decision acting PM – ed.)Yuri Yekhanurov has sent a letter to Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada with a request to examine the case, in which the “acting” prefix can be used, and in which can not, as he declared opening the meeting of the Cabinet.

Yekhanurov noted that he had received a letter from VR Chairman, “in which acting Prime Minister was offered and so on the text.” According to Yekhanurov, he has sent a reply letter with a request to examine analysis of constitutional regulations.”

Yekhanurov added that temporal discharge of duty of officials is regulated by Law of Ukraine of 1997 year. According to Constitutional Court determination of April 27, 2000, this Law is not valid as regards Prime Minister, vice-Prime Ministers and ministers.
