Ex-Governor of Sumy Volodymyr Shcherban has been let out on bail

Regarding Shcherban’s release on bail, the General Office of Public Prosecutor of Ukraine reported that despite it the inquest would conduct all necessary legal proceedings.

However, it might be the good will of American justice whether to extradite Shcherban or not, Segodnya newspaper informs referring to Ukraine’s General Office of Public Prosecution.

Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs Yuri Lutsenko said such decision the US court had passed under the influence of Sumy Regional Council which failed to agree on Shcherban to be brought to criminal account (if it is true it will be the first case when local authorities of a country influences on the US court – edit.) Lutsenko confirmed his readiness to follow out this case and forbore from accusation of the USA by intentional misprision of Ukrainian “fugitives.”
