Lukashenko invited Yushchenko to Chornobyl conference

Presidents of Belarus and Ukraine will meet on the threshold of 20th anniversary of Chornobyl disaster, as reported Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Valentin Velichko during today’s press conference.

“The date of the meeting is determined, but I wouldn’t like to name it,” said he.

The Ambassador also reported that foreign departments of Belarus and Ukraine are charged with organizing the meeting.

“President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent an invitation to President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yuri Yekhanurov for participation in the international Chornobyl conference,” noted the Ambassador.
