Merkel considers Ukraine reliable partner

Federal chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel noted Ukraine’s re liability as a partner in energetic security sphere. She told today at the mutual concluding press conference with the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“The matter concerns reliability and readiness of Ukraine to correspond those obligations it took before the European Union concerning energy carriers’ supplies,” Merkel noted.

He emphasized that there is trust to Ukraine and Ukraine has reliability. “The President of Ukraine perceives it seriously and makes all possible to fulfill it,” she said.

In turn the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko declared: “Ukraine treats devotedly the obligations of energy charter and always fulfills them”
