Tymoshenko informed about successful registration of depositors of Sberbank

Registration of depositors of the Saving bank (Sberbank) of the former USSR is being carried out successfully and practically without queues. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed today at the Cabinet session, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

According to her, as of today more than 30% of depositors are registered who will be able to get payments up to UAH 1000 (depending on volumes of deposits) from January 11.

Tymoshenko also informed that today government would consider and adopt resolution on order of payments of savings which are foreseen in the state budget 2008 to citizens of Ukraine.

As a reminder, since yesterday the process of registration of depositors of the saving bank who lost their savings has been started.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko promised to return about UAH 20 milliard of lost savings in 2008.
