Ministry of Health proposes to adopt law on medical insurance

Negative and threatening situation has occurred in the system of public health of Ukraine. As ForUm’s correspondent reports, Minister of Health of Ukraine Vasyl Knyazevych has stated at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“If we stop the tendency which takes place because of the demographic situation and if our government is able in 5 years to say that life of Ukrainians has become 3 years longer, it will be the supertask, which we will be able to fulfill,” he noted.

According to the Minister, the system of medical aid satisfies neither population of Ukraine nor medical workers. That’s why he proposes a row of reforms and the main reform is to adopt the law on medical insurance.

He has also emphasized that it is necessary to make all conditions for work of medicine in villages.
