Kravchuk praised Tymoshenko

First president of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk considers that new Cabinet of Ministers is worthy to be praised for the decisions taken by the government of Yulia Tymoshenko and for adopted State budget for 2008. He stated in an interview with the newspaper “Day”.

Kravchuk has noted that the State budget for 2008 solves many social and even historical questions, for example the compensation of deposits of the Saving bank of the USSR.

“These are the actions aimed at trust to the government. And there is another moment. Politicians try to fulfill their election promises. Maybe, this event takes place for the first time in the history of the Ukrainian independence, when the government tries to fulfill election promises,” he emphasized.

But at the same time Tymoshenko ignored the promise to separate the government form business. According to Kravchuk, this is right but for today businessmen in the government are of great need for Ukraine. The absence of qualified managers is very big problem.

Kravchuk has also said that relationship in the government is another big problem for Ukraine. “Relatives, business and government are the worst tandem for the country,” Kravchuk emphasized.
