Tymoshenko intends to impose a ban on privatization of Ukrainian airports


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko charged the Ministry of Transport and Communications, State Property Fund and Ministry of Economics to prepare a bill which would render impossible privatization of strips and safety systems of the Ukrainian airports, Cabinet press service reported.

The PM disclosed this in Dnipropetrovsk during the presentation of the project on reconstruction of the international airport of Dnipropetrovsk.

The Premier emphasized impossibility of alienation of strips and safety systems of airports from state property by insolvency or mortgage.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted that law should severely regulate issues of privatization of the airport terminals.
