On Epiphany day Poltava citizens will be treated with salo

On January 19 –the Epiphany, holiday of salo (fat) will take place for the first time in Poltava. The press service of Poltava city council informed.

The holiday will be held by support of city head Andriy Matkovsky.

Guests of the city will be treated with salo. Moreover, people will be able to buy different kinds of salo.

Numerous of competitions are planned to be carried out. One of them is knowledge of jokes and sayings about salo. Show of folk bands is arranged.

Earlier the Poltava city held holiday of Ukrainian dumpling (halushka).
