Yatsenyuk considers Ukraine will join NATO not earlier than 2017

It is difficult to say when issue on Ukraine’s joining NATO will be considered. The VRU chairman Arseniy Yatsenyuk told today at the briefing, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

Yatsenyuk informed that there was a range of countries who were joined Action plan on membership in NATO for eight years. They needed eight years to consider issue on membership,” he said.

Yatsenyuk noted that at any conditions, Ukraine’s joining NATO would be first of all connected with placing of foreign military basis on the territory of Ukraine, one of which is now in Sevastopil. “So issue on Ukraine’s membership in the Alliance is questionable until 2017 –in particular by the moment when Black Sea Fleet of Russian federation … will leave territory of Ukraine,” he said.
