President sent letter to Prosecutor General

Yesterday the President Viktor Yushchenko wrote a letter to the Prosecutor General Olexandr Medvedko with a request to conduct urgent investigation of a train accident in Rivne’s region, according to the president's press office.

The accident happened near “Semylitka” in Rivne’s region on January 26 night when Kyiv-Ivano-Frankivsk train hit six people to to deaths.

The President charged head of state administration of Rivne region Viktor Matchuk to take urgent measures concerning provision of assistance to families of killed people.
