President: Business does not trust power

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko wants to release Ukraine from money laundering. He said that today during thee Ukrainian forum “State and business are partners” which takes place now in the Ukrainian house, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

The President noted that now the power and business have tense relations. “Business does not trust the power. Power increases rates. Rates are not accepted and shadow schemes are being formed,” he said.

Yushchenko called shadow economy which does not cooperate with the budget the main problem. Yushchenko called the government to elaborate motivated formula which would cut the taxes but would not reduce payments to budget.

“It is important to decide what steps must be taken not to loose payments to the state budget,” he added. According to the President, the government at first must decrease tax rates and expand tax zones.
