Ukraine's Defense Ministry was and remains a reliable engine of Euro-Atlantic integration, Ukraine's Defense Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov told a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission in Vilnius. Cabinet's press office reports.

He stressed the current work of the Commission is special as it is run on the threshold of the NATO Summit in Bucharest.

The Defense Minister noted the new Government had clearly defined its stand towards backing of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic bid. This is proved by a letter sent to the NATO Secretary General to proceed to implement the NATO Membership Action Plan, he said.
