President met with Paraguayan Foreign Minister

President Viktor Yushchenko met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs ofthe Republic of Paraguay Ruben Ramirez Lezcano. President's press office reports.

During the meeting the sides discussed development of Ukrainian-Paraguayan bilateral relations in political, economic and humanitarian fields.

The President welcomed signature of the agreement on trade and economic cooperation between our states scheduled within the framework of Lezcano’s visit to Ukraine. Viktor Yushchenko also repeated his invitation to Nicanor Duarte Frutos, the President of Paraguay to visit Ukraine.

Besides Lezcano handed over to Yushchenko a personal address from President N. D. Frutos on the occasion of 15^th anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment between Ukraine and Paraguay.

The President from his part granted the Paraguayan Foreign Minister with an order “For Merit” for  Lezcano’s personal contribution into Ukrainian-Paraguayan bilateral relations development.
