President demands payments for gas

President Viktor Yushchenko sent letters to Prime Minister, Energy Minister, Communal Services Minister, Crimean Prime Minister, Regional Administrations heads, Kyiv and Sevastopol city administrations heads with a request to examine the situation with payments for gas in 2008. President's press office reports.

The President drew attention to the fact that overall payments estimate only 34,9% of sums for the consumed gas. Therefore he demanded applying necessary measures to improve the situation.

Viktor Yushchenko also requested the abovementioned officials to inform him in person on the conducted work before March 10, 2008.
