Yatsenyuk proposed People’s deputies to sign political treaty

Speaker of the parliament Arseniy Yatsenyuk during the consultations with the heads of the VRU factions has proposed to sign the political treaty, which enables to unblock the work of the parliament. The ForUm’s correspondent reports.

According to Yatsenyuk, if this doesn’t take place, then in 30 days the country will speak “with the shame” that the parliament is illegitimate. Yatsenyuk has emphasized that in this case only two branches of power remain in Ukraine: the President and the government.

Earlier, one of the leaders of the Party of Regions, Mykola Azarov, has assured that the parliamentary forces are ready to reach the compromise in the question on NATO.

“During the meeting with Yatsenyuk we have stated that we need guarantees that any decisions concerning NATO will not be taken, until the question is put for consideration at the referendum. This is the position of principle, and negotiations of the last days show that sides are ready to reach the compromise,” he said.
