President met with Head of Donetsk Regional Administration

President Viktor Yushchenko held a meeting with Donetsk Regional Administration head Volodymyr Lohvynenko. President's press office reports.

During the meeting Administration head informed President on state off affairs in the region

V. Yushchenko from his part drew V. Lohvynenko’s attention to a number of issues. Among them was wages debt in the region amounting to 169 million hryvnyas as for January 1, 2008. President urged Administration head to pay off wages to economically active enterprises employees until the end of 2008.

As another important issue President mentioned region’s debts for energy recourses, noting that municipal heating facilities paid off only 53% of price for the consumed gas. Therefore he put a task before Donetsk authorities to ensure paying off full amounts of debts for the consumed energy resources.

Separate attention during the meeting was paid to social protection of orphaned children in the region, especially to situation with orphanages functioning.
