The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has set up a Council of Entrepreneurs. A corresponding resolution was published on the government's website. Cabinet's press office reports.
The Council was set up within the Cabinet of Ministers as a standing consultative agency to guarantee interaction between the bodies of executive power and business entities on the principles of partnership, openness and transparency.
In keeping with the provision of the Council of Entrepreneurs, its personal composition is endorsed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Council decisions will serve as recommendations.
In September 2007, President Viktor Yushchenko expressed the need for restoration of work of the Council of Entrepreneurs to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Yushchenko promised that, after formation of the new government, he would raise the question of the Council of Entrepreneurs, which would become an effective instrument of cooperation between entrepreneurs and government members.
The previous Council of Entrepreneurs was eliminated in December 2006.
