Yushchenko met with Alexius II

President Viktor Yushchenko met in Moscow with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexius ll. President’s press office reports.

During the meeting President expressed gratitude to Alexius II for initiating services in memory of Holodomor and political repressions victims in Moscow and other Russian regions.

The parties also discussed celebration of 1020 anniversary of Christianization of Kyivan Rus′ as well as dialogue between the churches.
