Ukraine is ready to send 175 sportsmen to Beijing

For today 175 Ukrainian sportsmen of 21 kinds of sport have showed necessary norms for the participation in the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008. Minister for Family, Youth and Sport of Ukraine, Yuriy Pavlenko stated at the press conference.

According to the Minister, the specialists forecast that 40-50 more licenses for participation in the Olympic Games will be received.

As to the performance at the Games, the Minister has informed that experts in the sphere of sport assume that Ukrainians can pretend to 13 medals, 1-2 of which will be gold.
