Government to introduce market mechanism for pricing energy resources transmission

The Cabinet of Ministers endorsed introduction of the market mechanism for pricing the energy resources transmission as priority in the activity of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy in 2008, according to government portal.

Apart from this, another priorities were approved: attraction of non-governmental investments in developing thermal power, life extension of the existing and construction of the new power-generating units of NPPs, creation of elements of the nuclear-fuel cycle, integration of the United Energy System of Ukraine with trans-European electric networks and energy market, development of the gas and oil and gas transmission system, improvement of the state's regulating function on reforming the wholesale electric power market.
