Tymoshenko: there will be no increase of gas prices


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko assured that her government will hold gas price at USD 179.5 in 2008. She said that today at the briefing, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“There are no reasons to concern that gas price will be increased, but next years we should hold a stage of negotiation processes,” Tymoshenko said.

Tymoshenko reminded that now governmental delegation and Naftogaz Ukraine are holding negotiations with “Gazprom” concerning price for gas and long-term agreements on provision Ukraine with natural gas.

PM stated that while there is negotiation process it is too early to speak about increase of gas price in 2009.
