Lutsenko criticizes UNO on incident with Ukrainian peacekeepers

Interior MinisterYuriy Lutsenko is convinced that heads of UNO mission in Kosovo are not ready to collisions in Mitrovica. He said that today at the press conference in Kyiv, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“In my opinion situation was not ready and prepared unsuccessfully,” the Minister said.

Lutsenko considers the fact, when mission heads 4 hours did not allow Polish and Ukrainians peacekeepers to shoot to kill in order to defend themselves, is strange.

The Minister is convinced that if there had been UNO operation, such situation would not have happened. The matter concerns more than 100 wounded peacekeepers.

At the same time, Lutsenko noted that he would not like to comment on this situation until he has results of investigation.

As a reminder, on March 17 during the unrest in Mitrovica (Kosovo) Ukrainian peacekeepers were wounded, and one of them died.
