Yushchenko decided to struggle with foreign information expansion

The information expansion of foreign states in the system of the Ukrainian mass media threatens national security. President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko stated at the sitting of the National Security and Defense Council, ForUm’s correspondent reports.

He has noted that the informational and psychological campaign on disorientation of the society is carried out because of this foreign expansion in to the information space. “Serious problems in the information space of Ukraine are development of the society, consolidation, unity of the society, and understanding of social position,” he said.

The main task of today’s NSDC sitting Yushchenko marked the adoption of measures on effective control of filling of informational space of Ukraine, improvement of public image and influence of Ukraine on the international informational market.
