President met with Lithuanian Prime Minister


Within the framework of his visit to Lithuania President Viktor Yushchenko met in Vilnius with the Prime Minister of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas. President’s press office reports.

The officials discussed trade, economic, energy cooperation between the countries, possibilities of liberalizing visa regulations, European aspirations of Ukraine, etc.

“Ukraine is interested in developing bilateral investment cooperation with Lithuania,” Viktor Yushchenko said at the meeting pointing to such promising projects as holding EURO 2012 in Ukraine and decommissioning Ignalina NPP and building a new nuclear power plant in Lithuania.
