Ukrainian flags to be hung out in Sevastopol

According to the decision of city authorities of Sevastopol, from June 1 there will be always the flag of Ukraine and the flag of hero city on all State institutions, medical and educational establishments.

According to the resolution, the flags are “necessary demand for work of all organs of authority and institutions of Sevastopol”.

The resolution of the city authorities was published after the scandal statements of Moscow Mayor Yuriy Luzhkov during celebrations of the 225^th anniversary of the RF Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. He called Sevastopol’s subordination to Ukraine as a question and thereby he caused serious diplomatic scandal.

“In 1954 the city hadn’t been introduced to a row of those regions, those territories which Khrushchev passed Ukraine,” Luzhkov said.
