Kharkiv City Council chairman Hennadiy Kernes is not going to come for
interrogation in Kyiv by the end of July to give evidences concerning
criminal cases instituted against him.
At the press conference Kernes stated that he can come to the investigator only on July 31.
"I do not dodge the investigation, but today I am acting city
chairman and I have many reasons," Kernes said, adding that he has much
to do and wants to "enjoy" last days of his holoday and complete
treatment course.
"I have said that I will come on July 31," he said, answering the journalist question.
As a reminder, police detained by force Kharkiv City Council chairman Hennadiy Kernes in Kharkiv on July 22.
According to the information of the PR Department, Kernes was
detained in accordance with an investigator's order on the case on
attempt of a premeditated murder, which is investigated by the Main
Investigative Department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine. Kernes
was detained as a witness.
According to the information of police, Kernes had been neglecting
for two months summons to interrogations, openly showing his
unwillingness to take part in procedural activities.
