Zhvania to appeal to European court

A group of lawyers on international right has prepared and sent to the European court on human rights the appeal of David Zhvania against Ukraine’s law enforcement bodies, which try to deprive him of Ukraine’s citizenship.

Press office of National Self-Defense informed ForUm.

The appeal says that according to the article 6 of the Convention on human rights and freedoms, every person has a right on just and public consideration of his case within reasonable time and by independent and unbiased court.

However, despite such norms, the Appeal court of Kyiv refused to protect the rights of Zhvania and took the side of the Prosecutor’s General Office.
