NATO asks Medvedev to revise the decision

In the joint statement the NATO members confirmed their disapproval of the decision made by

Russia

on recognition of independence of rebel republic Abkhazia and South Ossetia and appealed to

Russia

with the demand to revise its decision.

“NATO disapproves the decision of Russia on recognition of independence of Georgian regions Abkhazia and South Ossetia and calls Russia to cancel the decision,” the statement of 26 NATO members, formed after the Brussels meeting, says.
