Russia plans to form three militaries bases in Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Russia might form three militaries bases on the territory of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, a military source in Moscow informed.

"Military experts together with the specialists of other departments are conducting calculations on possible deployment of military bases in two Abkhazia cities and one of South Ossetia," the source said.

He specified it would more convenient to deploy bases on former Soviet military units, like military airport, port or motorized infantry battalion. The source underlined that the deployment might start after making correspondent agreements between Russia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
