MP
Anatoliy Hrytsenko (OU-PSD faction) claims that President of Ukraine
Victor Yushchenko gave time till the evening for BYuT and Party of
Regions to form a coalition. At the same time, he did not orient OU-PSD
to forming a coalition with BYuT.According to UNIAN, he claimed this to journalists after the President’s
meeting with the OU-PSD faction on Tuesday.
According to
A.Hrytsenko, there was no discussion at the meeting but a President’s
monolog, who, in fact, informed those present about his decision. “He
thanked the faction for its courage, for heroism and braveness, for it
defended the democratic values. The matter did not concern the
expediency of forming a coalition between two or three factions (BYUT
and OU-PSD, or BYuT, OU-PSD, and Lytvyn’s Bloc). The President just
said that if another coalition – of BYuT, the Party of Regions and
Communists – is not created till the evening, he will exercise his
constitutional right”, A.Hrytsenko said.
Asked to specify how
much time Yushchenko gave to finish the talks, A.Hrytsenko said: “The
President gave time till the end of today”.
He added that Victor
Yushchenko did not speak about resuming the democratic coalition. “The
President did not orient the Our Ukraine for creating a coalition with
BYuT or with Lytvyn”, A.Hrytsenko said.
In fact, MP Oleksander
Tretyakov (OU-PSD faction) confirmed to journalists Hrytsenko’s words.
In his opinion, the President is geared up for dissolving the
parliament. He also confirmed there was no discussion at the meeting.
“The President delivered a monolog”, O.Tretyakov said.
