Yulia Tymoshenko urges on hearing report of SBU head in Parliament


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko will initiate hearing a report of head of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Valentyn Nalyvaychenko in the Parliament in order to elucidate detention of deputy head of the department of Energy Regional Customs of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Taras Shepitko. Yulia Tymoshenko announced on Wednesday, during a briefing. 

The Premier informed in view of illegal detention of an officer of Energy Customs the BYuT faction will demand hearing of the report of the SBU head in the Parliament. Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko promised she would initiate creating Temporary investigation commission in the Verkhovna Rada targeting investigation of cases of pressure on the customs and employees of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

The Head of Government also stressed, she intends to address the court with a demand to immediately take this deal and release the detained. 

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized the President, his Secretariat and subordinate to him Security Service have started large-scale political repressions towards people trying to resist corruption. She considers Taras Shepitko has paid with his freedom for the denial to obey evil orders of the President. As the Premier explained, Taras Shepitko had been invited to the SBU and exerted pressure. Yulia Tymoshenko informed the Energy Customs employee had been forced to get clearance for 11 billion cubic metres of natural gas for RosUkrEnergo company. At this, she reminded the mentioned 11 billion cubic metres the Naftogaz of Ukraine had bought from Gazprom, according to the clinched deals.

The Head of Government imparted this morning analogous resentment was aired to the head of Energy Regional Customs department, who was to receive notices to appear. “This is demonstrative thrashing on the part of the President and his pocket services against the people who are ready to rise to oppress corruption,” Yulia Tymoshenko accentuated. 

Yulia Tymoshenko is convinced these actions were performed by the Security Service under pressure of the Secretariat of the President: “I don’t exclude this situation wouldn’t have occurred without direct instructions of the President”.

The Premier views it is done so that to finance political activity and future presidential elections, basing on this corruption.
