The Ukrainian and Russian foreign ministers, Petro Poroshenko and
Sergey Lavrov, have discussed in their phone call a broad range of
issues of bilateral cooperation. The parties acknowledged that
Ukraine-Russia relations have recently gained a new pace, UKRINFORM reported.
Poroshenko confirmed Ukraine's readiness to hold the 5th meeting of
the Economic Cooperation Committee of the Ukraine-Russia Interstate
Commission on November 19 in Yalta (Crimea).
The Ukrainian diplomat also said the Ukrainian party is ready to
hold early in December Ukraine-Russia political consultations at
foreign ministerial level.
Poroshenko and Lavrov also focused on intensification of
trade-economic cooperation, participation of Ukrainian companies in
disaster recovery at the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydroelectric Power
Station, lifting of restrictions for products delivery.
The parties voiced a mutual interest in continuing close cooperation
in all areas put on the agenda of Ukraine-Russia relations.
